Both the Premium Bee Observation Box and the Two‑Phase Bee Box use removable nesting modules, making it easy to refresh the space for new bees while safely storing filled modules for winter.

Shipped from the UK and delivered throughout the UK - with the exception of Northern Ireland, which we can’t ship to right now.

Where are your products manufactured?

All our solid oak is UK‑sourced, and every box is handmade by us from plain, untreated planks of wood.
Module Care Guide

Our module are low‑maintenance and made from natural, weather‑resistant wood. To keep things bee‑ready:

Daily:

  • Remove any cobwebs so the entrance stays clear for visiting bees.
  • Check whether your module is filled - if it is, lift it off the wall and store it in an unheated shed or garage to let it rest.
  • Or Unscrew and swap it for a fresh module for the next wave of bee nesting.

Autumn:

  • Unscrew the acrylic panel, harvest all cocoons into a small, breathable storage box and keep them safe until Spring, ready for their natural emergence.
  • After harvesting, clean each chamber - scrape out the mud, brush away the crumbs with a fine paintbrush, and leave everything fresh for next Spring.
  • Or simply leave the cocoons in place, let the bees chew their way out, and then give the box a thorough clean before new bees arrive.

Winter:

  • Store your cleaned, empty module indoors to protect it through the colder months - your module is reusable year after year.

All year round:

  • Avoid painting or treating the wood with chemicals. Bees prefer it natural.

Buzzed into life in Somerset, South‑West England in 2026 with one mission: help the UK’s solitary bees and give them a home to nest. So we started handcrafting bee observation boxes with a viewing window - because the best part of nature shouldn’t be hidden behind a mystery tube.

We had a traditional bee hotel and quickly realised we never knew who checked in, what they were building, or whether they were even bees at all. We figured we could change that.

With a BeeLife Box, you get front‑row seats to the whole show: gentle pollinators building perfect nests, stashing pollen like tiny hoarders, and transforming from egg to fully grown bee. It’s one of nature’s greatest glow‑ups - and most people never get to see it. Until now.
